Our little man is going to have a birthday this coming week! The 29th to be exact. We gave him his birthday present a little early…his first little big boy bike. He has been pretty excited about it. No more borrowing big sister Ava’s princess bike. These are the faces I capture when I don’t tell him to smile for me.
This is the face I get when I do ask him to smile for me.
Throwback to around Shep’s 1st birthday and Ava being 3. Threenagers are so fun.
These spray bottles for the kids are the best $2 I have spent. They play with these forever. In fact, they cleaned my golf cart with them yesterday. If I need anything cleaned, I just ask for their magic cleaning spray.
Pretty sure whenever I give the dogs another bath, I know who and where they are going to run off too. These guys love Gigi.
This Week’s Books
The kiddos loved “Crunch, the Shy Dinosaur”. It was a pretty cute and interactive book. “The Pretty Pretty Bunny” was a good book for teaching a lesson to the kids about what happens when you say mean things to people.
I would have to recommend all the books in the above picture. “Rhyme Crime” is definitely the favorite overall. So cute! “Hubble Bubble Granny Trouble” was different and cute.
Gluten Free & Dairy Free Menu
- Nachos with tortillas chips, rice, grass-fed beef, broccoli, and vegan queso.
- Fancy Fries with fries, Italian sausage with green beans, bacon, mushrooms, spicy pickles, and vegan queso.
I am a super big fan of putting this vegan queso on just about everything. Here is the recipe in case you wanna give it a try!
- Baked cajun salmon on top of rice, zucchini with vodka sauce, and navy beans.
- Tomato Basil soup with pepperoni and DF grilled cheese sandwich.
These are the rainy day eats for the week. I like hot and comforting food on those days.
Farm & Garden
We have officially starting taking the baby chicks out of the brooder for field trips in the yard! This is what the kids have been waiting for. Right now we are just doing the buff orpington chicks, the Easter Eggers, and a few silkies. The silkies can easily squeeze through the crate, so we limit how many we take out.
Ava…my chicken girl.
I would definitely recommend buff orpington hens with kids. They have been very gentle and friendly.
Another throwback to our first group of chicks last summer. The kiddos are becoming seasoned chick raisers.
On Another Note…
So I was initially excited when I purchased this…thinking it would be a great alternative to donuts. To my utter disappoint these were terrible. The cake mix is made with coconut flour, which I am not a fan. It is just so difficult and dry to work with. The frosting just left a weird feeling in my mouth. So, Scott pretty much ate these all on his own because even the kids didn’t want any after their first taste.
I hope everyone has a fabulous week! God Bless!
