We just thought T-Ball was almost over and then we had 3 games in a row plus one next week and a possible tournament. We are still recovering from the last one. My gracious…T-ball overtime is a real thing and it is crazy intense! I just find it amazing how much our usual 6 kids can do. We have barely ever played with a full team, but lately it has been consistently the same 6 kiddos. They are still having fun and improving with each game. It doesn’t even seem to phase them that we are always playing short. They just know after they bat, they are going to be batting again pretty quick.
Shepard is ready to be able to play. Hopefully, we can get him into the league next year so he can have at least one season to play with sister and cousins on the same team.
Love this picture! Our little girl sluggers.
And we absolutely love our granny cheer squad! Three generations of softball sluggers right there!
More library shenanigans!
This Week’s Books
We had a theme going on for last week. We picked out all non-fiction books and books to get Ava prepared to start Kindergarten. “Germs Are Not For Sharing” was actually well liked by Shep and he has put what he learned into practice.
As soon as I saw “Whose Baby Butt?”, I immediately knew this would be a hit with our kids. Of course it was and now they can both recognize certain animals just from looking at their backsides. “What If A Stranger Approaches You?” was a good lesson book. These books kinda make me nervous, but I think they did a good job on their details on this one.
Gluten Free & Dairy Free Menu
- Spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips, rice, Italian sausage, and sweet peas.
- Salmon Rice bowl with spicy pickles and avocado.
I think I can put spinach artichoke on anything and like it. Scott too. The kiddos…meh. Scott has had an addiction to spicy pickles for sometime now. And I have recently caught the fever and am starting to put them on everything.
Farm & Garden
My blueberries are finally starting to turn blue. I know they are not suppose to bloom until June, but those babies have been green for what seems like forever. It was worth the wait though because they are super yummy! I just want more plants now.
The rest of the garden is getting started and I am hoping it will be fruitful. My poor strawberries are so over the abundance of rain.
How cute are the silkie babies?! They are growing and we are loving the variety of feather styles they have going on top of their heads. We got some Mohawks, some fros, some bald, and some just multicolor.
I’ve been finding Bonnie in the greenhouse a lot lately. She’s becoming quite the greenhouse cat. Pretty confident she sleeps in there at night.
I hope everyone has a fabulous week! God Bless!
